HOW THE TOURNAMENT WORKS
Round 1:
Submit Your Song
Send us one song for review by our internal team. We’re looking for artists who have what it takes to compete and captivate in our high-energy tournament. If your track makes the cut, you’ll move one step closer to the spotlight.
Round 2:
Draft Day
September 12th – Tune in to our website and live stream to find out if your song has earned a spot on the Leaderboard, making you eligible to compete in the tournament.
Round 3:
Secure Your Spot
If you’ve made the Leaderboard – congratulations! Now the real grind begins. You’ll need to rally your supporters and collect enough votes to place in the Top 128. Only the highest-ranked artists advance to the main competition.
Round 4:
BRACKET-STYLE SHOWDOWNS
The tournament kicks off live! In an NCAA-style bracket, 128 artists face off weekly in head-to-head matchups. It’s all about the music – with special guest judges giving live feedback and deciding who moves on until we crown the champion.

In every tournament, winning the favor of Shaq, Kayo and the live chat is crucial. Having your support system participate in the live streams can greatly enhance your chances! If Kayo or Shaq face difficulty in determining the winner, a LIVE POLL feature on YouTube will let the viewers in the live chat determine the victor.
